Melissa Hale is a graduate of the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill where she received her Master's Degree in Physical Therapy in 1999. She began her career in orthopedic rehab in the Piedmont Triad area, then expanded her skills in 2010 to providing services to employers to reduce the incidence and costs of injuries, becoming a Certified Ergonomic Assessment Specialist (CEAS) and a Certified Evaluator of the WorkSTEPS Functional Testing program. Melissa became owner/president of WorkSmart Solutions in July of 2019. Outside of work, Melissa enjoys spending time at Lake Tillery with her husband, two children, and two dogs. She also enjoys watching sunsets, reading, and outdoor recreational/fitness activities.
